We are seeking an energetic, creative and experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team now and help us meet the growing demand for intensive rehabilitation services. The Physical Therapy Assistant functions under the general supervision of the Physical Therapy Team Leader and under the direct supervision of the physical therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. The PTA assumes responsibility and accountability for providing physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by a Physical Therapist and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. Responsibilities: Provides care per physician's orders and plan of care developed by evaluating therapist; takes measurements of patient status, within the limits of his/her licensure and ability, as appropriate in providing care and to assist in assessing the effectiveness of care.
